Hi my name is
Mary-Jane , I am Head of Services and projects.I have been
working with SIL since Dec 2006.My role involves the strategic
management of the Employers Support Service. I also manage
projects supporting grants and funding applications. I am a
practice educator for student Social Workers and we have regular
placements at SIL.
SIL offers a
diverse range of services and therefore there is never a dull
day doing my job.

My name is Ann
Sparks and I am the Finance Manager at SIL. I deal
with all financial aspects within the organisation and produce
monthly accounts for the Finance Sub Committee and Board. I
find my work ever changing as the organisation grows and I enjoy
taking on new work tasks. |
Wendy Rutter-Butcher

Hi my name is Wendy Rutter-Butcher
and I have been with SIL since July
2002. During this time I have been
lucky enough to be involved in many
areas of SIL and am now the
Marketing Manager. This role
includes managing the website,
newsletter and related IT,
organising external events, customer
relationship, promotion of SIL and
building relationships with
stakeholders. I enjoy the pace and
challenge of working for an
organisation which is constantly
adapting to meet service user needs. |

My role in the organisation is to
market SIL through the website,
newsletter and events. I oversee all
the ICT in the organisation. I
really enjoy my work at SIL and enjoy the challenging and varied
aspects of my role as they come my way. |

I’m Kate; I have been working at SIL for nearly a year now and
think I am finally finding my feet! I am responsible for
co-ordinating and supporting the learning and development needs
of all our staff. I also facilitate training sessions with the
company’s disabled trainers which is great fun. Every day is
different and I enjoy meeting the service users and staff. |

Daniel Savagar

I’m Daniel. I
have been working with SIL since October 2009. My role initially
involved researching opportunities for ‘SIL’ to expand services
and support into Herefordshire’s neighbouring counties. I am
currently supporting the Employers Support Service and the Admin
team. I value the experience and skills that the role has
equipped me with and I enjoy the challenges I face when
undertaking new tasks.

Sarah Goodger
Employment Support Service Advisor

My
name is Sarah and I have worked for SIL since January 09. I
support Service Users with employing their own staff – this
might include supporting with job ads and interviewing, advice
on employment law and contracts and any issues that may arise
once the Service User has a Personal Assistant in post. I also
support with bookkeeping and monitoring returns to the Local
Authority. My role is varied and no two days are the same –
which keeps my job interesting and challenging. |

Sally-Ann Hook and I have been
with SIL for almost 4 years. I am a
Team Managers for the Independent
Living Service (part of SIL) a home
support service registered with CQC.
My role is to assist the Service
Manager to develop and manage the
service in line with the needs of
service users, funders and statutory
requirements, and to co-ordinate
service delivery through the
management of team leaders, support
workers and to deputise in the
manager’s absence. |

Hi I am Marie; I have been working for SIL since
July 2008. I am part of the business support team. I will
often be the first person you speak to when telephoning SIL as
one of my duties is to answer telephone calls.
