Welcome to HCIL’s moderated Discussion Forum providing a resource for service users, disabled people and anyone associated with independent living. The Discussion Forum is open to all and focuses on issues around independent living, direct payments and individual budgets. We hope that the forums encourage an exchange of ideas and knowledge but recommend people are seeking information of a legal nature contact a professional in such issues.

Registration involves creating a password so that others cannot post in your name. The Discussion Forum is moderated and any posts of an offensive nature will be removed. Continual abuse of the guidelines will result in the offender being removed from the member’s list.
We recommend all those using the forums to protect their personal identity and be careful with the amount of personal information that is shared when posting on the Discussion Forum.
