Financial Administration Service

The Financial Administration Service (FAS) can support individuals  to complete their  financial monitoring accounts which are required by the Local Authority Finance monitoring team.

The DPSS team have many years of financial experience and can offer a fast, accurate and reliable service which will take pressure off individuals.

There are two ways of providing the service both at the same cost:

1.Service Users hold the funding in their own separate account. The service will complete accounts from monthly bank statements, cheque books (which we will return to you once we have the details), remittance advices for your direct payment / Personal Budget and any payments or receipts which relate to your direct payment. These items would be brought in by you each month.

2. SIL can operate a Bank account on your behalf and pay several support providers. We will submit the monitoring accounts to the appointed finance monitoring officer (FMO) within the local authority. This offers a safeguarding opportunity for those not wishing to hold the DP funds.

Financial Administration Service Benefits

  • Initial consultation by phone or face to face

The benefits of using the Financial Administration Service is the high level of support offered to individuals to develop their knowledge and confidence in the use of their Direct Payment.
