SIL have been extremely fortunate to win grant funding of almost £300,000 from the Social Enterprise Investment Fund to purchase new premises. 

We feel we are extremely fortunate to be in this position, especially in the current financial climate.  Owning our own premises will enable SIL to become more sustainable to ensure we can continue to expand and meet the needs of disabled and older people and family carers in Herefordshire. 

As anyone who had visited our old Rockfield Road offices knows, due to expansion and an increase in staffing, these premises had not met our needs for some time; for example we had no private room in which to meet with service users and visitors. 

We had just three months to find and exchange contracts on appropriate, accessible premises. Due to the lack of any suitable premises in Hereford, we have purchased our new large, modern and accessible premises in Leominster, rather than lose the grant. 

The new premises give us much more room, a nicer working environment for staff, two meeting rooms (so there will always be an interview room available for service users to use when required) and has level access and good parking.
